Do i need to file new h1b amendment in this case? now

Working for different client & city but in same state.

 If that is the case, How much for that to file.

Amendment is filed when there is a change in your designation, responsibilities, location and client even though its in same state. when you go for stamping VO might or moght not check all the things in detail how ever I would say its better to do it. I think USCIS could charge around 350 anyway check with your attorney about fee.

According to this link, you  don't need amendment if your location change is within MSA

But you mentioned different city, so I guess you need to do amendment.

According to recent rules, USCIS requires an amended petition for any location change.

I wanted to highlight the below line from the link

 

"Additionally, it was noted that our client's subsequent work location was in the same MSA as the stated petition work location. Thus, the LCA and initial petition continued to remain valid"

 

If that link was old then you might be correct.
