karthikdinakaran
Gurus / Everybody, A warm hello after a brief break. Today i came back to my oracle (murthy forum) seeking anwer for a immigration related question. I am representing a friend of mine who needs this clarification. Your answers are appreciable as always. Extract from his email : ************************ I got a H1B visa on 2007 which was valid until Mar-2010. I stayed in USA nearly one year with that H1 visa. I returned to India in Jun-2009 and didn’t renew that H1 visa. After that I got a L1B visa stamped in Nov-2010 which was valid till May 2013. I have the current I-94 valid till Jan-2016 and currently working in USA. Both my H1B and L1B are from same company. When I went for L1 stamping, the consulate officer put a stamp on H1B visa page as “cancelled Without Prejudice”. Please let me know, what is the meaning for “cancelled Without Prejudice” Request you to clarify me, is it possible to transfer H1B visa now to some other company? **************************** Link to comment
t75
You can reapply for stamping. Another company can file a new h1B petition for you. It may or may not be approved as COS. Link to comment
