heartshacker
I am on H1B. I know I can not do any freelancing on H1B. But if I get a project and assign to a company outside USA? And that company deliver the project to client. Regarding payment, that company generates invoice to client but that client pays to me and I pay to the company who is doing the project? If I can do this, can I take payment in my USA bank account? Will there be any tax related problem? Or I need to take payment in my home country? Kindly suggest. Link to comment
JoeF
You can NOT do that. It doesn't matter where the company is located, it matters where YOU are located. As long as you are in the US on H1, you can ONLY work for your H1 employer. Period. There are no workarounds. And btw, you have to declare your worldwide income on your US tax returns, anyway.
