rag_reddy
Hello, I am currently on H1B and am working for a client. My project is going to finish in two weeks and I have a new project ready at a different client location. My employer suggests me to amend my H1B. I need to go to India for getting my visa stamped. Are there any risks involved in amending H1B? Are there any chances of USCIS rejecting my case? If the amendment gets rejected, will the H1b status be terminated?/ Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Link to comment
JoeF
The H1 has to be amended if you are working at a different location. That's the law. Link to comment
Attorney_7
An amended H1B petition is reviewed by USCIS as any other H1B petitions; that is an amended petition must meet all the requirements and elements of an H1B petition. Link to comment

rag_reddy
Thanks for the replies. My question is, if there is some issue with my application, is there a chance that the amendement may get cancelled. In case, if the amendment is cancelled, will I be out of status or can I retain my old H1? Thanks in advance, Link to comment
sunz7799
The H1 has to be amended if you are working at a different location. That's the law. Not all location changes require amendment. But new LCA must be filed. Link to comment
