PERM / I-140 filing with home address while working fully remote

I need some with the below immigration question. I work at my home address fully remote. My employer is filing PERM and I-140 and the immigration team is saying that I need to live within the Metropolitan area. I would like to understand if we can file PERM with work address as home address as I was hired as a fully remote employee and I don’t have any plans to relocate to my office location due to personal reasons. Please help me in this regards.
