Travel with counselor H1-B in-process while initial OPT at place.

Hello, I Need help in this, Right now i am in my initial OPT, my employer had filed for counselor H1-B recently ,on june very end, I have an emergency to visit India,  what are my options now, can i now travel to India, can i come back ?, will something happen w.r.t H1? 
H1 has not yet approved and if i track using receipt number, the status is in review stage.
