Do I have to reapply for H4 extension?

My H4 visa is stamped on the passport from 5/16/23 to 09/5/24. I travelled out of country from July 10th, 2024, and back on Aug 1st,2024. On the new I-94 received on 8/1/24 the admit date is showing as 09/5/24.

Q) Do I need to reapply for H4 extension asking because will the last action rule be in effect?

Q) Does the last action rule apply to the current visa i.e. till September 5th, 2024. 

My H4 extension is approved from 09/6/24 to 09/5/27 on May 16^th, 2024, prior to me leaving the US.

Upon entering the U.S. did you present the currently extended period to the CBP officer? If you did, you may be able to return to the deferred inspection office to have the I-94 record updated. Nonetheless, the last action should be considered the I-797A that begins on September 6th.

Yes, I did present the extended I-94  (till Sept 2027) H4 approval notice to the officer.

Would emailing the CBP office to correct the I-94 help? Is it required to reapply for H4 extension? Would I go out of status on 09/6/24?
