Traveling to India and stamping while H1B Amendment is still in process

Hi All,

 I work in my current company A for the past 8 years. Got my I797 renewed/ approved in Jan 2024 and I am traveling to India shortly and have a drop box appointment scheduled for stamping as well.

Now last month ( Early June), I changed role within my current company for which my visa amendment application has gone in with regular processing and hence dont have the approvals for that yet.

Upgrading to premium processing is not going to help here it seems since my appointment date is 8/9 ( taken by design since that provides enough time to get my passport back and leave on 8/28).

Whats the risk here and how can I mitigate?

not sure how long it takes for the moderators to clear this post so that I can start getting/ seeing some answers. Certainly anxious to get some inputs here.
