ragalaya Posted July 24 Report Share Posted July 24 Hello, I was working on H1visa prior to taking a career break and I had only 9 months of H1 visa left. I took a career break before I could complete PERM and I140 on my H1 visa. During my career break I moved to H4 and H4Ead based on my spouse's H1 visa. I am currently working on H4 EAD. I have heard that a GC application can be started independently on H4 visa. Please let me know if my understanding is incorrect. Once the I140 is approved , is it possible for me to shift to my pending H1 based on this i140 and get an extension on my H1 visa and continue on my H1 visa which I was on earlier?
