Do we need to run pay roll after getting laid off and initiating a new H1B transfer without working

Hi All,

I got laid off and initiated an H-1B transfer with a new employer before the grace period ended. Do we need to run payroll if I have not started working yet and am still searching for a job? Is there a rule to run payroll even if the H-1B transfer is not approved?

Hmm, if an employer hires you you have a job. It is the employer's responsibility to find a project for you, I'd the employer is a consulting company.
