SiRa123
Hi Team, I am anticipating layoffs in my current company and I have an approved I-140. My spouse is currently on H-1b, so I was thinking to change my status to H4 for maintaining status in the country. Later when I find a job, is it possible for my future employer to file for H-1b using my I-140. Are there any problems with this approach ? Edited June 25 by SiRa123 typo Quote Link to comment
Attorney_20
Yes you can use your approved I-140 (and non current priority date) to get an H1B approved beyond the 6 year limit for 3 years. Quote Link to comment
