H4 EAD renewal question

I am currently with employer X on H1 visa. I have approved I-140 with my current employer X. my wife has approved h4 ead 
based on I-140 filed with employer X.
If I change to employer Y and get new H1, can my wife apply for h4 ead based on new H1 from employer Y and I-140 from employer X?

my I -140 with employer X was approved about 1.5 year ago.

she can renew her h4 ead only after it expires. Nothing to worry when you switch jobs. As long as you maintain H1B and she is on H4, she can get H4 EAD extensions. All the best
