H1b Extension RFE

Hello,

 

 

             I applied for h1b extension last August and have received an RFE.  The RFE asks me to provide the approved I-140. My 6th year in H1b is going to be over by next week and my PERM is still in progress ( PERM was applied in April,15)

 

 

              I was out of the country for almost 3 months since I first received my H1b visa. Would it be possible for me to use these 3 months and request USCIS to extend my visa for 3 months. I hope my PERM would be approved in the meantime and I would be able to file for I140 immediately after it and later apply for a new H1b extension petition.

 

 

 

          Kindly please advise if I can provide anything to support my RFE.
