aa11
Hello Team, I am currently on L1B. My wife has applied for L2 EAD which should get approved in a couple of months. After her EAD gets approved, which is valid for 2 years I think, can I get a change of status from L1B to H1B without affecting her work authorization? Thanks in advance, aa11 Link to comment
jairichi
No. Once you move to H1B her L2 status & EAD becomes invalid. Link to comment
TTN
Hi aa11, L2 is linked to Principal visa holder's L1. If you change your L1 status to H1B then the L2 status will no longer remain valid. Either change the status for both of you or do not loose your L1 status. Just my opinion and not Legal advice. aa11
Hi Rahul, Is that a "yes" to my query or to jairichi's response? Link to comment
rahul412
Hi Rahul, Is that a "yes" to my query or to jairichi's response? If you move to H1 then her L2 status will be invalid, which means she can't get EAD. Link to comment
