DS 160 and Appointment fee transfer

Hello everyone,

Recently, visa appointment i booked in Jamaica was cancelled by consulate stating overbooking as the reason. Now there are no other dates in Jamaica. Since I have plans to go to India , I cannot wait till Jamaica bookings open. 

 

So am planning for either Mexico or Canada.

 

Since I have paid my appointment fee in Jamaica, can i use the same receipt for canada / mexico appointment booking ? 

 

Also should i submit new DC 160 for mexico / Canada or is there a way to utilize same DS-160 i submitted to Jamaica. 

 

I searched many forums and there were no info on these items. So appreciate your help on this.

Normally you have to fill new DS-160 and pay H1B visa fee again. Since your appointment was canceled by US consulate contact them about possibility of a refund.

you should pay new IVR fees. Unfortunately you cannot re use the payment that you made for Jamaica consulate.

I have same doubt bro.. But I think we can not transfer fee.. but lets wait for others response...

You cannot use the same MRV fees anywhere except Jamaica. You have pay again 190$ to any consulate you are trying to go and you need to have the updated new DS160 form with new consulate location on it.

The paid MRV fee and DS-160 form are specific to that country, you cannot use for other countries. You need to pay again for canada/ india. You would be requiring canada visitor TRV visa to visit canada for your stamping. All the best
