visitor visa refused ds 160 question

Hi,

I am filling ds 160 for my parents visitor visa.Their b2 visa was rejected 2 times in 2009.

 

1. do i have to mention all the refusals with date and reason or the last refusal onlyin ds 160

If DS-160 asks this information, then yes. Stating the truth helps. Anyway, US consulates would have access to earlier refusals and reasons.

Though information on prior visa refusal(s) is available in the consolidated consular database (CCD) and the officer has access to CCD during the visa interview, every applicant is expected to provide accurate detail in DS 160 under the penalty of perjury. If the applicant does not remember the date of visa refusal(s), the applicant should try to provide the number of visa refusal(s) with approximate month and year in DS 160.
