Name changed in passport and license but not on GC

My wife got the GC with her maiden name. Now we changed her name (married name) on the Indian passport, license and SSN.

The name change on the GC seems to take longer (more than 3 months) and we have to travel within three months. Is it mandatory to change the name on her GC for reentry in to the US?

please consult a lawyer.

apply GC name change and while application is pending, schedule an infopass and get I-551 stamp for travel.
