Or will I be fine with my current passport? 2) Do I have to apply a for passport here in US or do it in India? 3) What are my options? Thanks... Link to comment

Better to extend at appropriate time in US. Link to comment
sudheer009
First of all, you can only renew your passport if it is expiring in less than an year. If there is no change in your passport (address, name ..etc) it is better to renew in India, you will get it in 2-3 days only, here in US it will take up to 2-3 months depends on your location and you dont want to pay 91$ dollars, you can renew it for 1500 INR, but the thing is you may not be in India in 2016?
