Can I continue my work with same employer if my H-1b expires and EAD pending?

I am now in an H-1B status and it will soon expire. I filed an I-485 adjustment of status based on my wife approved I-140 (EB1a). I have also applied for an EAD (I-765). Can I continue my work with same employer if my H-1b expires and EAD pending
