Investing in a Food Franchise

Hi,

I have a bunch of friends(Green Card and Citizens) who are opening a food chain franchise and planning to register a LLC. I want to be an investor, only inactive and not obtain any salary from the business. But will take appropriate profit per month or year.

 

I am currently on my H1, and my firm is applying for my green card.

 

I think its legitimate, but want to know everyones opinion.

Sure you can. Being a passive investor is generally not considered unauthorized employment.
