Mexican citizen, TD holder with current i94 but expired visa traveling to Mexico

Hi,

My wife has a valid TD permit that will expire in 2 years. She'll travel to Mexico for 2 weeks becuase her brother is terminal with cancer. Her passport is current but her visa is long expired.

It's our understanding that she should not have issues since she'll be out of the country less than 30 days, but I wanted to see if anyone has had a similar experience.

Is it our understanding correct? Apart from her passport and TD document with I94, what other document should she need?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
