sratlanta Posted September 8, 2012 Report Share Posted September 8, 2012 You should submit DS160 before going for appointment. Without that, you will not even be able to take appointment. The procedure is, first get your H1 approved (i797), then submit DS160 and generate the barcode(print it and take it with you). Then schedule appointment (after paying the fees in the same website). To schedule the appointment, you need the DS160 number and fee receipt. Link to comment
