Applied 485 when my H1 extension application is in process. If H1 is denied, will my 485 also be denied?

H1 Expired on Sep 2011

H1 Extension Application filed in time (in Aug 2011) and case still pending with RFE.

485/EAD/AP applied in Jan 2012 (with H1 Approval Pending).

EAD and AP approved in Feb 2012

If my H1 application gets deined now (i.e. lets say in March 2012 or after), considering the fact that i applied for 485 without an approved H1 and it was deined later, will my 485 application be denied?

Do i have to leave US immediately after the H1 denial or can i still work till the 485 decision is made as i have a valid EAD?

H1b petition and I-485 are independent. I-485 will not be impacted by H1b decision.

Since you have your EAD approved, you can continue working on it even incase something goes wrong with your H1b extension.
