H1B transfer and extension query

Hi,

I have exactly 2 months left on my H1B visa and petition with company A. I have an offer from company B.

1. If company B files for a H1 transfer will I get an automatic extension?

2. Or should an extension be filed after the transfer is approved?

3. If extension should be filed after transfer approval and if the transfer approval takes more than 2 months, I would no longer be in status. What should I do to avoid this?

Extension and transfer mean the same thing.

You do both at the same time.If your transfer is approved you are extended.
