naidu.nikhil11
Hi All, I have completed my Master's in Computer Science and am currently in 17 Months STEM OPT extension. I was working for a consultant before who was E-Verified and got my 17 Months STEM OPT extension on the same employer. Now I got a full time offer from another company which is not E-Verified and I need to update my employer in USCIS through my college, but they require E-Verification No. for my employer to update in USCIS and my employer is not ready to enroll in E-Verification. So my concern is, will there be any problem in my H1 filing or approval if I don't update my employer in USCIS and run my payroll through them until they file my H1 in April and get it approved and activated by October 1st 2012 ? Awaiting response. Thanks and Regards, Nikhil Naidu. Link to comment
Chitown01
To work on STEM your employer has to be e-verified. Just ask your employer to get enrolled, its a free service and No fees attached. Link to comment
JoeF
On STEM OPT extension, you can only work for an e-verified employer. Link to comment
