vizagking Posted January 17, 2012 Report Share Posted January 17, 2012 Hi All, I'll be completing my 6th year by the end of Sep 2012. My existing GC process is in EB3 category. (Priority date : Jun 2004) My visa got renewed recently in Oct 2011. Based on the current Labor/pending I-140, I got the visa validity till Sep 2013 (They included 7th year as well) Now planning to change my employer and start fresh GC process in EB2 category. So my questions are: 1. Is it safe to change employer in 6th year? 2. If I transfer, What will be my validity? (Sep 2012 OR Sep 2013) 3. Can I take advantage of the existing GC process (priority date/pending I-140) in my new GC process with new employer? Any suggestions or guidance is highly appreciated. Thanks, Raj Link to comment
