phdinprogress
Greetings! I am pursuing my PhD from a reputed university and I am currently on F1 status. I am also working part time in a multinational company. The company that I am working is willing to sponsor my H1B, also I will be done with my candidacy exam by April and will be left with dissertation. Hence I want to change my status to H1B and go full time with the company I am working and do part time with my PhD from October. I can also work full time in Spring and Summer using my CPT as per the university policy. So, my question is...If I apply for H1B in April and if it gets approved....So, can I continue my F1 status until October and work Full time with the company in Spring/Summer using my CPT? If I change my status to H1B in October and in the future if I want to come back to F1 can I change my status to F1 and after my graduation can I use my OPT? Your help is greatly appreciated.
