H1B - Revalidation

Respected Sir/Mam,

I am an Indian citizen holding valid Indian Passport and currently working in USA on valid H1B visa for company A. I am planning to join company B where I already transferred my H1B six month ago (Aug-2011)

Company B suggested me travel any island and revalidate their i-94 by using their new petition. Once revalidation is done they asked me to join them immediately.

Please let me know can I travel Canada for one day to re-validate my i94?

Does my wife also need to travel along with me?

Please also let me know any nearby islands where I don’t need to apply for visitor visa and just travel on my Indian passport and valid H1B visa for i-94 revalidation
