GCMad007
Can anyone guide , if we can apply for ITIN , if the person has never entered in USA ? I have a GC , and recently got married. My wife is still in India. She will be hear by next year. I was wondering if i can apply for ITIN before she gets a visa ? A quick search says Applicants should complete Form W-7 for 2010 and attach their supporting documents (I-20, passport and I-94) and take to an IRS Acceptance Agent or provide the completed Form W7 along with certified or notarized copies of their I-20, passport and visa pages and I-94. Form W-7 and the certified or notarized copies of their documents must now be attached to your federal tax return. Since we will not have the visa / I-94 , any idea , how can we proceed with this ? Thanks a lot. Link to comment
