Passport submission request but still administrative processing not compelted

Hi,

I have attended my visa interview on 9th Sep 2011 and was issued 221g blue with Additional administrative processing marked. no further document submission was required.....the case number is still not identified at the consulate website.

Last monday November 14th, i received a mail from consulate to submit passport for further processing. I have submitted it yesterday on Nov 15th. Today when I called DOS for update, the lady told me that they have recieved the passport but the additional administrative processing has not yet completed.....

I am not sure why they askked my Passport if processing is not completed....not sure how long it will be befre i get my passport back. keeping fingers crossed.

Anybody who faaced similar situation before?

Hey Rasheed,

I went through a similar situation back when I had applied for my F-1. They told me that the process is completed and that I should bring my passport. When I went there, they took my passport and the girl came back saying the process is not completed yet. It took them another couple of days to complete the process. Hopefully you get your visa in a few days. Keep Praying.

This is my case.

H1-B interview date : 24th aug 2011

on 24 th aug 2011, V.O told me that my visa was approved and I submitted the passport.After that,My case went into admin processing.

Received 221(g) blue doc: 11th nov2011,asking to submit DS-160 form along with passport.

I went to VFS,Chennai on 14th nov 2011 and submitted DS-160 form ,one letter addressing to U.S CONSULATE ,Chennai that my passport is with them.

Still I am waiting for the reply and passport.

I am scaring on my case.

Receieved a questionaire today after submission of passport and asked to submit the questionaire along with resume and employer invitation letter..

not sure whats happening...

Anybody?..... been through this situation before kindly suggest.

like you mentioned in other post, the VO retained your 797, LCA and 1129. I believe in the last 2 months they might be doing some check with those forms. Now with the questionnaire they are doing your background, TAL check.This is how I feel about it.

what is employer invitation letter? is that employment verification letter or different?

NO idea... i have forwarded the mail to my HR and they will send the letter to me..

This is very generic term - Invitation letter, it can be your Employment Letter, even 797 copy. This letter is more applicable for Visit or Exchange Visa Programs.

I saw your topic today only. I am in same situation. I gave interview on 5-Aug-2011, within two weeks, they asked to submit my passport. Still now there is no update from US consulate. Called VFS, DOS several times, no use..

I got blue color form from VFS (on 21-Aug), asked me to submit my passport. On same time they returned all my original documents which I submitted on interview date for 221-g. I am a FTE.

Did you receive an email to submit passport? If yes , then when did you receive it? Which date did you submit your passport? We're you asked to submit questionnaire , resume and invitation letter? Did you submit any if these docs?

Hi,

I have been dealing with the New delhi consulate for 4 months. I had my interview in Aug where they have me 221g green form. My case was sent back to USCIS.

USCIS reaffiremed my case and the information was sent back to the New Delhi Consulate.

I contacted the consulate via VFS requesting to advice on next steps. They asked me to wait till the PIMS system is updated. After another 3 weeks of wait, I got an email from VFS to come to the US Consulate with your passport and other documents.

I went to the consulate on the Nov 17th where the VO told me that he will not be interviewing me and will be keeping my passport - I-797 original as well reaffirmed and the green form and they will take sometime to review my case. I asked me that the review has been going for last 4 months and what is there to review. Is there anything specific they want from me. He said no they are all set and this is just procedure. But then he said he will take the I-129 document If I have with me. I gave the document.

Now its been over week and no news from US Consulate.

After submitting my documents, within two weeks, I got blue color form to submit my passport. I am FTE, they didn't ask anything like client letter etc..

Any updates? Turkey festival is over .... Christmas is approaching fast......hopefully we will get some good news during this period.

From my side.... no development.... still waiting for update frrom consulate. ..... my case number went back to cannot be identified :(

No Updates.. my case number went back too cannot be identified as well ;( I sent an email to VFS and they mentioned that they forwarded the mail to consulate and consulate shall respond.
