How long can stay outside country after GC approval

I have received my GC this week.

My company is providing a expat opportunity to another country and this is a very great one.

wanted to understand how long can i stay outside the country without any issues after receiving green card and what is the process to follow in this case? also any idea on how to establish that i have roots in US - buying house qualifies?

N-470 is usually the form to apply with similar cases like yours, but since you just recently got your GC, you may not qualify to apply (part of requirement is a year of stay in the US after getting GC).
