EB2 questions

Hi,

I am on an H1B visa and employer has filled for Green Card under EB2. My I140 priority date is March09 and current date is Jul06, so I guess I got a good three year wait for my priority date to become current,is this correct?

The other question I have is, after my I140 priority become current, can I file the I485 adjustment of status immediately, does my employer do this or do I have to do this and how long does this I485 process take to complete to get the green card?

What are the stages in this I485 process and their timelines and are there any similar or other backlogs/bottlenecks (as in the case of I140 priority date becoming current) that could prolong obtaining the green card after I485 filing.
