Urgent: EAD renewal pending, can I still work

My current EAD expires on 09/27. I applied for renewal and received receipt notice dated 07/13. If I dont get the renewal by 09/27, can I still work based upon my pending receipt notice. By the my I485 is also pending. Can someone please answer as I am really getting nervous.

You need the approved EAD with you after 09/27 to keep working.

NO you cannot, I am in the same boat EAD expires 9/17 employer already send me email 1 month ago saying cannot return to work w/o EAD

Sent my form may-31, receive date jun-06 receipt date jun-07 required infopass on aug26 you can require infopass after 75 days of your receive date they said AP approved EAD pending Expedite request, I just got the first email saying ccard production ordered from what I read at least 1 week to get the actual card

The EAD can often take up to 90 days to be issued. Therefore it is important to file for the EAD extension in a timely manner. The earliest one can file for the EAD extension is 120 days in advance of the current EAD expiration date.

Employment is not authorized based on a pending EAD application, the EAD must actually be approved.
