Green Card, Country of Birth

Hi,

My husband (Country of Birth: India): got a new job and the employer is willing to sponsor a Green Card for him (and by extension me). My country of birth is Abu Dhabi. My Brother got his Green card in 9 months because of this clause - Country of Birth - Abu Dhabi.

Since the new employer is filing the Green Card for my husband, will my country of birth influence our application and speed up the process?

I am also currently working in the US on L1B visa.

Your husband should advise the attorney processing his case of your country of birth in order to take advantage of interfiling. It will indeed speed up processing.

It is actually not called interfiling, but cross-chargeability. Let the lawyer know about it. It will speed up things considerably.
