I have an approved I-140 from a previous employer. My PD is Aug 2014 in EB-2  and am from India. EB-2 for India jumped to Sept 2014 in Apr 2022 visa bulletin for Section B. Application for visa. Which means I can apply for I-485 I think. I have not yet started the PERM / Green Card process with current employer yet and at the same time have received a couple of new job offers. 

Whether I start my PERM process with my current employer now or join a new company and start immediately hire ( if they are ready to do so) will a matter of 1 - 2 months I guess. I am not keen on joining the employer through whom I had I-140 approved. What I wanted to understand is if there is a deadline to file the I-485 ? Lawyers at current employer said that it would take 12 - 14 months to get an approved I-140 .
