221g white slip from Chennai Consulate

Hi,

I have an approved H1B petition and is valid till 2022. I have attended interview in Chennai consulate on 9th March and officer have requested for my end client letter which I did not had at the time of interview and I received a 221g white slip requesting for my end client letter which I have submitted on 12th of March. But there is no update yet!

I have sent multiple emails to the consulate requesting for an update on my case and they have replied saying "We thank you for your enquiry. You will receive information on your case status on completion of review. Thank you for your patience and understanding."

I am little worried now as I have lost the job at the end client. I am stuck in India due to this. 

What are my chances on this as its been more than 5 months now. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

Due to covid time lines hae increased.dont worry you wil be fine as long as ur H1 petition is valid till 2022

Couple quick questions please

1) Meanwhile can I apply for H4 as my wife is on H1 and she is in US?

2) Do I have to withdraw my 221g before I go to an Interview on H4?

3) If my H4 is stamped, Can I travel with H4 and later change my status to H1 while I am in US?

Hi, was this in person interview? I see that the consulate is closed. How did you get an appointment?

It was an in person interview  in the month of march when the consulate was open.

If you have lost the job then your H1 is no longer valid , you can try dependent option.

Yes

Yes, once you get job, apply for COS - if approved you should be good. if CN then you need go out of country to get stamp.
