Ashish Patel Posted January 20, 2021 Report Share Posted January 20, 2021 Hi All, I have got my H1B approved. I am planning to have my wife travel with me on H4 dependent visa. I have had her name changed after our court marriage which certainly means that court marriage certificate will have her maiden name. She was yet to issue here Indian passport. So we have issued her a passport with the new name. The query goes like this. What if ds160 and passport has her name correct that is new name and She also has my name mentioned in her passport but we have court marriage has her maiden name ? And we also have an affidavit of name change ! Is there any issue ? Or Would you suggest to keep the maiden name in her passport and no change of name ? Quote Link to comment
