Mounikakirantelukutla Posted June 22, 2020 Report Share Posted June 22, 2020 Hi my H1B will be maxed out by Jan 2021 and due to COVID my employer could not initiate the process although he started advertising in December 2019. Now he is not sure to complete the process because of current layoffs from his company so I’m not sure if I can still continue with the employer to initiate the GC process. Mav777 Posted June 26, 2020 Report Share Posted June 26, 2020 Thats tough with the current situation. You will have to find another employer who is willing to start the gc process right away. PERM itself takes 6-8 months atleast, so even if the process was started now it won’t be completed by Jan’21. Unfortunately you will have to leave the country in Jan and try to pursue the gc process from outside the country. Quote Link to comment
