AS Ea Posted June 2, 2020 Report Share Posted June 2, 2020 May 10 2014 I came to US with L1B visa, I went back after an year May 31 2015. In 2016 April my H1b petition was filled and that got stamped on December 2016. But I hadn't utilized my H1B at that time. In 2018 again a fresh L1B was applied, and I came to US with that L1B on March 10, 2018. Then ABC company applied for H1B visa tranfer and COS. It got approved from May 06 2019 to May 05 2022. I know that L1B and H1B count together for the whole 6 years of H1B term. My question is whether my 2014- 2015 L1B stay also counted for 6 year term or not? As I was outside of India for more than 2 years I was thinking that my clock got reset. But I heard that new H1B petition should be filed after 1 year of staying abroad. Please clarify.
