Harsha1632
Hi, I am on H1B visa valid till Dec 2020, my current employer has applied for H1B amendment as there is a client change, amendment is still pending with USCIS. I am WFH now full time because of COVID-19 situation. Can I legally work for another employer full time if they are filing for another H1B visa as I will be working from Home for that employer also for at least few months? Do I have to inform the second employer? Is the second H1B application any different for concurrent filing? Do we have to indicate concurrent occupation in H1b application form (is there any field in form to indicate that) or its same as regular H1B application? Or at least can I work for both employers until one of the H1B application gets approved as both applications will be in pending? Do many people work for 2 employers concurrently full time like 80 hours/week? Thanks in advance... Quote Link to comment
User099
You will need to inform the 2nd employer about your other job and they will have to do a concurrent H1 for you to work for both companies. Why do you care what others do and how they are working 2 job or 80 hrs/week, think about yourself and how you are going to do it. Quote Link to comment
02112018
If you do 2 jobs, make sure you have a legit answer while attending visa stamping interview. I think ONE H1B HOLDER with ONE JOB only unless your a GC/Citizen. Try to be safe with immigration status, money can be earned later if you have status and still in u.s Quote Link to comment
JoeF
It is pretty much impossible to work 2 fulltime jobs on the H1 level. That's 80 hours/week. When do you eat, sleep, etc.??? This is not mindless burger flipping. And employment contracts usually prohibit working on the side without employer approval. You could get fired for cause by both employers. Quote Link to comment
