L1A to B2 and GC process

Hi all,

I am on L1A and my I140 (with attorney and will be applied to USCIS by May end) and visa is ending on July 1st.

My company is working for my Canada WP - but due to Covid if Canada WP does not get approved prior to my L1 expiry.

1. If I apply for B2 and stay in US (I see will be around 10-15 max) until Canada WP gets approved - will it impact on I140/GC process?

2. If I get B2 status approved (mostly it will happen after I leave US)  - will I be able to get B2 visa stamped out side US if I visit to US consulate

3. If my B2 change status gets denied - do I need to mentioned visa application denied during next US application process? 

4. What is safe way to handle this situation - I am with family wife and 2 kids (younger one is US citizen by birth). Thanks in advance.
