J1 visa orB2 to J1 status change

Hi,

 

I got residency this year starting June 2020. Presently I am in US on B2 visa. I am unable to travel to India for J1 visa interview. I was wondering what my options can be:

1.) Anyone has any input about B2 to J1 status change while being in US

2.) My wife is working here in US on H1b, how long it will take if I apply H4 or if I can do residency on H4?

Please suggest, Thanks a lot!
