H1B amendment and extension approved in consular processing without i-94

Hello i got a new job in wisconsin and my H1B amendment and extension got approved in consular processing without i-94 number attached.My old visa is still valid till june 15 2020.My old i-94 expired on feb 14 2020.Can i cross the mexico border and get new i-94 in my case or should i go to visa stamping?.Please suggest.

I think just getting a new I94 will be enough as you already have a valid visa.
