avinash1107
Hello everyone, i have applied for H4 and H4 EAD extension in Nov 12th and still waiting for approval. my current visa expires on April 25th. So if i dont receive my visa before that, do i need to resign my current job or can go on unpaid leave of absence? My lawyer said i can go on unpaid leave and terminate but other forums says otherwise. could some one clarify if you have already went through this sitatution. Thanks! Quote Link to comment

JennyJ
I am in the same situation and my employer is asking me to take 90 days unpaid leave without pay and said that they or ok if i am paying for the benefits (health insurance) during this period of absence. Is it advisable to completely stop them or its ok for me to pay for the benefits? Edited May 28, 2020 by JennyJ Quote Link to comment
User099
If you are on H4 EAD, you can take a leave/stop working and pay for benefits. Quote Link to comment
