sreedesi
Hi, My wife attended the trivalley University 9 years back. The university was later pronounced as fake university and my wife was issued NTA. At that point the court asked for volunteer departure which was agreed and she left to India. She changed her status to H4 and then came back to US. After that we applied for GC and she got the Green card in 2013 . 4 months back she applied for citizenship after 5 years completion. She was called for the Citizenship interview. AS p;er the citizenship rules did she violate any rule. Also question is would she explain the interviewer about the situation of what happened or should she wait until the interviewer ask the question about this specific issue. Please help as the interview is scheduled for Feb 4th 2020 Quote Link to comment
JoeF
It was not "pronounced fake", it WAS a fake university from the start. The owner now serves a 16 year prison sentence. The NTA will be in her file. She does not have to volunteer information, but she needs to be truthful when asked about it. She entered with an H4, and if everything after that was clean she should not have problems. Quote Link to comment
