About Visitor Visa- mismatch of names in passport and ds-160

My parents had biometrics appointment last week and their names in ds-160 forms didn't match the passport. My parents were asked  to correct their names and come back for bio-metrics. So they did it with help of the person near the biometric center and received different  confirmation number which doesn't match with the initially filled ds-160 forms. Can they go for the visa interview which is  scheduled with the initially filled ds-160 confirmation number or do I need to pay visa fee again and schedule the interview?

They can take the new DS160 confirmation page to the biometrics appointment center and have it updated before going for visa.
