siva48325
In 2011, I came to USA on L1-B Visa and during 2015 same employer filed for my H1-B and got approved. From 2015 to 2017 , I was with H1-B and then have to leave country due to 6 year limit. After cooling period (1 year), returned to USA on L1-A (same employer again). Currently I would like to leverage my H1-B (approved in 2015 & used for 3 years only) and do extension. Please suggest if this is possible scenario and is there any possibility to check whether my H1-B petition is still valid or not ? Quote Link to comment
JoeF
Since you reached the 6-year limit the H1 has been used up. It is gone. Extension is not possible. You can get a new H1 in next year's quota, it also would only be valid 6 years minus the time spent on your current L1. Edited November 7, 2019 by JoeF Quote Link to comment
