PED date much earlier than visa expiration date

Hi guys,

My wife just got her H4 visa stamps based on my H1B status, the visa expiration date is about one year from now (Aug 2020) which is normal for us based on previous experience. 

However, the PED date is based on my current I797 file and has an expiration date as Aug 24, 2019. I already extended my H1B for another 3 years with new I797 expiration date in 2022. When my wife applied for H4 visa, we entered my newest I797 information since she plant to travel to US in October. 

I have emailed the embassy for clarification. But I am wondering if this is normal or a mistake? Would it impact my wife's admission to USA if no correction is made? Last time when we encountered a similar situation (applying for visa stamp when the current I797 was going to expire soon), the PED date on visa stamp was based on the newest I797.
