siva1505
I am currently in my STEM OPT Extension. I was working with a consultancy as a contractor and was working at a client for that consultancy with following relation Consultancy -> Prime-Vendor -> Company. I have changed my employer to a different company ut the vendor and client are the same. Now, the consultancy people have sent me that I have signed a Non-compete and Non-Disclosure agreement with them and I have violated the agreement. How can a student under OPT can be restricted from working as it is considered as a training. Now, they have sent me an attorney's notice that I've violated that agreement. I don't know how to defend myself against this case. Can some give me the instructions how can i solve this... Quote Link to comment
JoeF
Incomplete agreements are generally valid (except in CA.) You sign stuff, you are bound by it. Don't sign things you don't understand. Show that document to a labor lawyer. And next time, do that before signing. Edited July 1, 2019 by JoeF Quote Link to comment
