H1B amendment denial with valid base petition

I have a valid H1B petition till May 2020 with my employer and client A . I have moved to client  B with the same employer, filed amendment on June 2018 and got an RFE on feb 2019. What happens to my status if i get a denial on the RFE response? 
1. How does the  H1B transfer to a different employer works after the denial, If i look for a transfer?
2. Can I initiate a H1B transfer before i hear a response on my RFE, meaning can i go with rfe response and H1B transfer in parallel? - Do they have any dependency?
3. what is the status of my petition for the period from after denial until I find another Job with my old employer?
